| Obverse description | Central field displays a circular countermark bearing the denomination numeral '20' within a raised ring, applied over the host coin's design. Surrounding the countermark is a decorative wreath of stylized floral and foliate elements encircling the central device. The peripheral legend reads PETRUS.I.D.G.CONST.IMP.ET.PERP.BRAS.DEF., identifying Emperor Pedro I of Brazil by his full imperial title.
