| Obverse description | A highly detailed, close-up portrait of an African elephant (Loxodonta africana) facing directly toward the viewer, rendered in fine relief with exceptional textural detail across the skin, tusks, and ears. The imposing bust fills the field, with the animal's large ears flared and prominent ivory tusks curving downward on either side of the trunk.
