Obverse description Central field dominated by the elaborate Ottoman tughra of Sultan Mehmed V rendered in high relief, with characteristic calligraphic flourishes and upward-sweeping finials. Below the tughra, the denomination inscription '٢٠ قرش' (20 Qirsh) appears in Arabic numerals and script. The lower portion of the field features two crossed cannon barrels tied with a ribbon, flanked by symmetrical foliate branches bearing roses and cotton bolls — emblematic of Egypt. A ring of six-pointed stars frames the upper border of the coin.
