| Beschrijving keerzijde | The denomination numeral '20' is prominently displayed in large Arabic-Indic script at the centre of the field, with the word 'قرشا' (Qirsh) inscribed below. The circular legend 'جمهورية السودان' (Republic of the Sudan) runs along the upper periphery in Arabic script. Three stylised cotton bolls with foliage are arranged symmetrically around the central numeral, symbolising Sudan's principal agricultural export. The design is enclosed by a raised beaded border consistent with the obverse. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Sudan's 1969 coup brought Jaafar Nimeiry to power, and this issue belongs to the immediate post-coup transition period as the new Revolutionary Command Council worked to establish the Republic's institutions. The 1970–71 dates reflect a brief window before Sudan's coinage identity shifted again with the introduction of the decimal pound system in 1972, which rendered the qirsh-based denominations obsolete almost immediately after striking.
