| 表面の説明 | A Sudanese camel postman (rakuba rider) depicted in high relief, mounted atop a walking dromedary camel facing left across the field, the rider holding a lance or standard and wearing traditional attire with a satchel at his side. Rocky desert terrain is suggested in the background behind the camel. The dual date appears in the lower exergue in both Arabic-Indic and Western numerals, reading ١٣٨٩ - ١٩٦٩ (Hijri and Gregorian years), enclosed within a reeded border. |

These coins were struck during a politically volatile stretch for Sudan — the 1967–1969 window spans the final years of General Abboud's successor government under the transitional civilian administration, ending just as Jaafar Nimeiry's coup of May 1969 abruptly terminated democratic governance. Issues minted immediately before that coup saw no policy-driven recall, but circulation was effectively disrupted by the monetary instability that followed the change of regime.
