Obverse description The upper portion carries a central royal arms vignette with a crowned figure of George I flanked by supporters, set within a radiating sunburst underprint, with the large denomination numeral '20' printed in orange at left and right. A decorative blue guilloche panel runs along the left margin, while the bank title appears in bold script lettering across the centre. The promise-to-pay text and denomination are highlighted within an orange tinted panel, with manuscript date, place, and two manuscript signatures with their titles at the foot of the note.
