| Description du revers | The reverse is printed entirely in blue and consists of three large lathe-work rosettes arranged horizontally. The central rosette contains the interlaced cypher monogram of the Northern Banking Company within concentric rings of fine guilloche engine-turning, surrounded by an elaborate floral and geometric border. The two flanking rosettes each carry the numeral '20' in white reserve at their centres within matching decorative guilloche surrounds. The printer's imprint 'Perkins, Bacon & Co. London' appears in small lettering below the central rosette. |
