Opmerkingen

The National Commercial Bank of Scotland itself was a short-lived institution, formed in 1959 from the merger of the National Bank of Scotland and the Commercial Bank of Scotland, then absorbed into the Royal Bank of Scotland in 1969. This note therefore brackets the bank's entire independent lifespan almost exactly.

The dual printer credit — De La Rue and Waterlow & Sons — reflects a transitional supply arrangement. Waterlow was acquired by De La Rue in 1961, so later printings within this date range would have been De La Rue operations in all but name. Worth noting when attributing specific print runs.
