Opmerkingen

The 2004 issue marks the 300th anniversary of British Gibraltar, commemorating the Anglo-Dutch capture of the Rock in August 1704 during the War of the Spanish Succession. De La Rue — Gibraltar's printer of choice throughout the modern series — produced this note, and the tercentenary provided the Government of Gibraltar with a deliberate occasion to assert its constitutional relationship with Britain at a moment when Spain had renewed diplomatic pressure over sovereignty.

Jim Bartolo signed as Financial Secretary, the sole authorized signatory for the series at that time.
