| Reverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Victoria in the Gothic style, adapted from William Wyon's celebrated design first used on the 1847 Gothic Crown. The Queen is depicted wearing an ornate crown and richly detailed robes, with intricate Gothic decorative elements rendered in high relief. The legend VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR REG F D arcs around the periphery of the coin in the manner of the original Victorian issue. The fine detailing of the hair, crown, and collar demonstrates faithful reproduction of Wyon's original engraving. A border of small stars frames the design, consistent with the Gothic Crown prototype. |
