| 表面の説明 | The reverse face presents a dominant intaglio vignette of the Great Sphinx of Giza in right profile, overlaid with a guilloche underprint incorporating the Great Pyramid, all rendered in teal and green tones on the polymer substrate. To the lower left, a polychrome vignette of Ramses II in war chariot draws a bow, rendered in gold and teal. At right, a large arch-shaped transparent window contains a colour-shifting holographic image of the Muhammad Ali Mosque (Alabaster Mosque) within the Citadel of Cairo, flanked by a stylised lotus and papyrus stalk motif; the numeral "20" appears at upper left alongside the legend "Central Bank of Egypt" and "Twenty Pounds" in English script. |

Egypt's shift to polymer for the 20 Pound denomination reflects a broader CBE program begun in the early 2020s to reduce the extreme wear rates that plagued high-circulation cotton-paper notes in a hot, humid climate with heavy cash dependency. The SAFEGUARD™ substrate is supplied by CCL Secure (formerly Innovia), but the actual printing and finishing is handled entirely in-house at the CBE's own facility — one of relatively few central bank printing works in Africa and the Middle East capable of processing polymer.
P#82 is among the first Egyptian issues to incorporate a transparent window as a native design element rather than a retrofit security patch.
