| 备注 |
The Bank of England's polymer £20, introduced in 2020 alongside the matching £50, completed the full conversion of English banknotes away from paper — a process that began with the polymer £5 in 2016. De La Rue's Gateshead facility, which has produced English notes for decades, handled production. The old paper £20 was withdrawn from legal tender in September 2022, which means any 2023-dated examples were printed against active demand rather than transitional stockpile.
Sarah John's signature — she became Chief Cashier in 2018 — appears on notes of all four denominations currently in circulation.
