| Obverse description | Plain typeset note on white paper with a guilloche border running along the left margin. The heading 'GOUVERNEMENTS NOOT.' appears in large letterpress text across the upper portion, with 'TWINTIG POND.' on a dark banner below it; the denomination '£20' is printed in the upper right corner and the serial number appears at upper left.
