Aanvullende informatie

The BSP seal type 2 coinage series introduced revised security features and a redesigned central bank seal following internal institutional changes at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. The 2025 date places this piece within the New Generation Currency coin program, which the BSP has been refining incrementally since its rollout in 2018.

Bimetallic construction on Philippine circulating coinage dates to that NGC program launch, adopted partly as a counterfeit deterrent in a country where coin rejection by vending infrastructure had long been complicated by earlier monometallic issues.
