Beschrijving voorzijde	The obverse carries the bold heading 'Gore Bank of Hamilton' across the top, with 'Province of Upper Canada' in the upper right corner. Two large numeral '20' counters flank a central oval portrait vignette of a bewigged gentleman, with a classical female allegorical figure to the left and a vignette of a cow to the right. The promise text reads 'Will pay to or bearer Five Pounds Currency on demand at their Office Hamilton', with 'Vingt Piastres' and 'Zwanzig Dollar' inscribed beneath the numerals, and corner counters displaying '20' at all four positions.
