Cubacafé — formally the Empresa Cubana del Café — issued internal scrip for worker incentive programs during the Special Period, the severe economic contraction that followed the collapse of Soviet subsidies in 1991. These notes functioned as wage supplements redeemable within the enterprise's own network, a stopgap measure as the state-run economy struggled to retain labor without access to hard currency.

The "stimulus bonus" designation places it firmly in that incentive-scrip category rather than conventional currency. Enterprise-issued Cuban scrip from this period is poorly documented and rarely surfaces outside the island.
