| 裏面の説明 | Intaglio vignette of the Panteón Nacional in Santo Domingo occupies the left portion of the note, rendered in brown tones with fine architectural detail against a multicolour rainbow underprint. A stylised Bayahibe rose motif in orange and teal appears at centre, flanked by decorative guilloche patterns and the denomination numeral 20 at lower left. The transparent polymer window at right displays the same butterfly-shaped SPARK element seen on the obverse. |

The Dominican Republic moved to polymer for this denomination in 2009, part of a broader regional shift toward substrate-based security that De La Rue and Oberthur had been promoting across Latin American central banks through the 2000s. The SPARK element — an optically variable rolling-bar feature developed by SICPA — was still relatively uncommon on regional notes at this date, and its inclusion here placed this issue ahead of several larger economies still relying on foil strips.
Oberthur's French facility handled the full run. The transparent window is integrated into the substrate rather than applied as a patch, which distinguishes polymer issues from the hybrid constructions some issuers were still experimenting with at the time.
