MAYON TWENTY PESOS PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND IN SILVER PESOS OR IN LEGAL TENDER CURRENCY OF THE UNITED STATES OF EQUIVALENT VALUE SERIES OF 1936
Reverse description Printed entirely in orange-gold on an elaborate guilloche underprint, the reverse centres on an oval vignette of the Philippine Commonwealth arms — an eagle above a quartered shield — within a scalloped frame flanked by laurel and palm branches. Numeral 20 appears in each corner within scrollwork cartouches, and the denomination TWENTY PESOS is rendered in bold letterpress across the lower panel.
