Opmerkingen

The Banco Entre-Riano operated out of Entre Ríos province in Argentina, and this note's denomination in "pesos moneda boliviana" reflects the monetary confusion endemic to the Argentine interior in the 1860s and 1870s, where provincial banks often denominated paper in whatever unit local commerce actually used — Bolivian silver being the practical currency of trade routes running through the northwest and across the Andean borders.

American Bank Note Company produced the plate in New York, as they did for a substantial portion of Argentine provincial bank issues during this period. The PS# prefix indicates the note is cataloged in the Krause specialized South American section, not the main Argentine federal listings — the Banco Entre-Riano never became a national institution.
