The commemorative legend 100 AÑOS DEL EJÉRCITO MEXICANO curves along the upper arc of the centre disc, while 100 AÑOS DE LEALTAD appears along the lower arc. 附加信息

KM#969 sits in a long-running bimetallic series issued by the Casa de Moneda de México commemorating the centennial of the Mexican Revolution, which ran from 2008 through 2017. Each coin in the series honors a different faction or figure from the conflict that began with the 1910 uprising against Porfirio Díaz. The Mexican Army designation here refers to the Federal Army — the institutional force that fought against both Zapatista and Villista forces before the Constitutionalist faction ultimately dismantled it entirely in 1914 under the Torreón agreements.
