20 Pesos Bank of Mexico

Pick 111 is the last of the cotton paper 20 Peso printings before Banco de México transitioned the denomination to polymer substrate in 2021. The 2000 date places it within a period of significant monetary instability memory — Mexico had only recently emerged from the 1994–95 "Tequila Crisis," which wiped out the purchasing power of an earlier generation of 20 Peso notes and forced a complete redenomination in 1993, dropping three zeros from the old peso system. This note's face value is technically 20 "Nuevos Pesos" by lineage, though that qualifier had been quietly dropped from circulation by this point.

Banco de México prints domestically, so no foreign security printer is involved here. The security thread and watermark represent a relatively modest feature set for the period.
