Descrição do anverso	The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections bearing a key, a rising sun over the sea, and a royal palm tree, surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a pike and flanked by two crossed fasces of flags. A five-pointed star appears to either side of the shield in the field. The upper legend reads REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcing along the inner border, while the lower legend reads 20 PESOS. Metallic specifications 26 G. and AR. 0.925 appear to the left and right respectively along the lower periphery. The entire design is framed by a beaded border.

The legend ANTONIO MACEO arcs along the upper field, while PROTESTA DE BARAGUA curves along the lower periphery, referencing his historic 1878 protest rejecting the Zanjon Pact.
