Opmerkingen

Argentina's Casa de Moneda has printed domestic currency almost continuously since 1890, but the post-2001 peso series required a rapid rebuild of the entire note family after the convertibility collapse wiped out public trust in financial institutions overnight. The 20 peso denomination was among the workhorses of that recovery, circulating heavily through a period when cash transactions dominated precisely because bank accounts had become suspect.

Security on this issue is relatively minimal by contemporary standards — thread and watermark only, with no optically variable ink or microprinting — reflecting the production constraints and cost priorities of the mid-2000s recapitalization effort.
