备注

The shift to a Czech state printer for Cuban banknotes reflects the rapid reorientation of the economy after 1959. Czechoslovakia was among the first COMECON partners to provide Cuba with technical and industrial support, and currency printing was part of that arrangement — the Státní Tiskárna Cenin contracts covered the early revolutionary series at a moment when Cuba's relationship with De La Rue and other Western printers was no longer tenable.

P#97 runs across a four-year window that brackets the 1961 nationalization of the banking sector and the formal abolition of private financial institutions in Cuba.
