正面描述 Printed on pink paper, the obverse is a simply typeset emergency circulating chit with black letterpress text arranged in a central block. The denomination '₱20.00' appears in the upper corners, with 'VEINTE PESOS' or '20 PESOS' in red vertically along the left margin, and handwritten serial numbers appearing twice at the lower left and lower right. 备注

The Seventh Military District guerrilla currency was authorized under the broader U.S. Army Forces in the Far East framework, which sanctioned local commanders to issue emergency notes to maintain loyalty networks, pay irregular troops, and sustain civilian cooperation behind Japanese lines. The Philippines saw dozens of such local issues, and distinguishing authentic military district notes from outright counterfeits — some produced by opportunists, others by Japanese intelligence — was a genuine operational problem during the occupation.

Pick S789 falls within a series that was explicitly demonetized after liberation, redeemable only under strict verification by U.S. military finance officers. Many were never redeemed.
