At upper left, a circular vignette bears the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines. The central text block carries the Treasury Emergency Currency Certificate legend, certifying redemption at face value upon termination of the emergency, with the large denomination inscription TWENTY PESOS and issuer title MINDANAO EMERGENCY CURRENCY BOARD.
