A central oval cartouche carries the bank name Banco de Quito in bold script, flanked on each side by the numeral 20 set within circular counter medallions. The overall composition is densely geometric, with no pictorial vignettes, relying entirely on engine-turned patterns for its decorative effect. The printer's imprint American Bank Note Co. New-York appears twice in the lower margin. |
