备注

Banco de Ossa y Compañía was one of a cluster of private Colombian banks granted note-issuing privileges under the 1865 banking legislation, before the state moved to consolidate currency control in the 1880s. The American Bank Note Company supplied most of these Colombian private banks during this period — the same plates and vignette elements frequently migrated between commissions, with the issuing bank's name essentially the only thing distinguishing one institution's notes from another's.

Ossa's operation was based in Bogotá. The bank did not survive the currency reforms that followed Colombia's 1886 constitutional centralization.
