背面描述 The reverse presents a finely detailed bust of Cuban independence hero Ignacio Agramonte facing slightly to the right, wearing a formal jacket and cravat, rendered in high relief with naturalistic portraiture. The name IGNACIO AGRAMONTE arcs along the upper periphery in bold raised lettering. The date 1977 appears to the left of the portrait in the field, accompanied by a small mint mark below. The legend ASAMBLEA DE GUAIMARO curves along the lower periphery, commemorating the historic Guaimaro Assembly of 1869. Two five-pointed stars flank the portrait in the field.

附加信息

Ignacio Agramonte was the Cuban independence general killed at Jimaguayú in 1873 at age 31, and his death — along with the capture of his body by Spanish forces who publicly burned it to prevent a martyr's grave — made him an enduring revolutionary symbol long before the Castro government found him useful. This commemorative was struck during a period when Cuba's revolutionary coinage program was accelerating rapidly, largely for export sale and hard-currency collection rather than domestic circulation.

Cuban silver issues of this era were produced in limited quantities through arrangements with foreign mints, as Cuba lacked the domestic capacity for refined silver striking at this standard.
