| Obverse description | Red-brown on light background, with large bold numeral '20' in each of the four corners set within decorative square frames. The central text panel is printed in German in black letterpress, headed 'ANWEISUNG' followed by the denomination 'ZWANZIG PERPER' in large type, with a lengthy legal text referencing the K.u.K. Militärverwaltung in Montenegro, the Army Supreme Command decree of 16 June 1916, and the equivalent values of 'ZEHN MÜNZPERPER oder ZEHN KRONEN'. A serial number appears in the upper right, and the note is dated 'Cetinje, am 20. November 1917' with a manuscript signature of the K.u.K. Militär-General-Gouverneur at lower right. |
