| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into two contrasting halves: the left half displays a highly polished mirror field, while the right half features vivid colour printing with a red background and lush green and yellow floral foliage. A stylised coiled snake rendered in high relief spans both halves, its body curling into an elegant figure-eight form with gold-coloured accent markings. To the left of centre, the denomination '20圓 / PATACAS' is inscribed, accompanied by the Chinese cyclical year inscription '癸巳年' and the date '2013'. The Chinese legend '澳門 中國' appears along the upper left arc, with 'MACAU, CHINA' inscribed along the lower border. |

| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a finely detailed high-relief rendering of the iconic façade of the Ruins of St. Paul's (Mãe de Deus Church), a UNESCO World Heritage Site landmark in Macau, shown in a frontal view with its ornate multi-tiered Baroque stonework, niches, pilasters, and crowning cross rendered with exceptional sculptural precision. A broad stepped platform is visible at the base of the structure. The trilingual legend arcs around the upper border, reading 'RUINS OF ST. PAUL'S' in Latin script to the left, '大三巴牌坊' in Chinese characters at centre, and 'RUÍNAS DE SÃO PAULO' in Latin script to the right. |
