| Obverse description | Central motif depicts a stylized rat rendered in vivid polychrome colour application, its body divided into geometric hexagonal and floral segments filled with traditional Chinese decorative patterns in red, green, and gold hues. The rat faces right in a rearing posture, occupying the centre-left of the field. The background features relief-engraved foliate and scroll motifs in the Portuguese azulejo tile tradition, covering the upper and lower field.
