| Obverse description | Violet and lilac note with a central vignette of the facade of the Leal Senado building in Macau at right, set against a fine guilloche underprint. A stylised phoenix rises at centre-left beneath the bilingual denomination inscription in Portuguese (VINTE PATACAS) and Chinese (貳拾圓). The upper border carries the bank title BANCO NACIONAL ULTRAMARINO and the identifier MACAU in bold letterpress, with denomination numerals 20 in each corner and Chinese characters 貳拾 in the upper corners. |
