Obverse description The obverse displays the elaborate calligraphic tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Mustafa III prominently centered in the field, rendered in the ornate Ottoman court style characteristic of mid-18th century coinage. The tughra features the interlocking loops, vertical shafts (tuğ), and sweeping diagonal extension (beyze) typical of the period, executed in relatively high relief against a plain, unadorned field. The flan shows evidence of post-mint perforation at the upper rim, indicating the coin was later adapted for use as a pendant or jewelry piece.
