Reverse description Central field displays a densely composed Arabic inscription in multiple lines recording the mint name and regnal year, all contained within a beaded inner circle. The legend identifies the place of striking as Tripoli of the West (Tarabulus Gharb) along with the AH year 1223 and the regnal year numeral 7. An outer border of raised beads frames the entire design, consistent with the style of Ottoman provincial issues struck at the Tripoli mint.
