| Obverse description | The elaborate tughra of Sultan Abdülmecid I occupies the central field, rendered in the traditional Ottoman calligraphic style with its characteristic looped and elongated strokes. The device is flanked on both sides by a three-quarter olive and laurel wreath tied with a ribbon at the base. The regnal year in Arabic numerals appears below the tughra within the wreath. The coin's border features a fine reeded edge with an inner beaded circle, framing the composition in a neat and formal manner. |
