| Obverse description | Central field displays the ornate tughra (imperial calligraphic monogram) of Sultan Abdülhamid II, rendered in fine relief with characteristic looped and scrolled Arabic calligraphy. Below the tughra appears the regnal year numeral in Arabic script. The entire design is enclosed within a wreath of laurel or olive branches tied at the base, with a floral sprig visible to the upper right of the tughra. The coin's border is defined by a continuous dentilated rim. |
