| Reverse description | The reverse bears a three-line Arabic legend in Ottoman calligraphic script arranged horizontally across the field, reading the mint and regnal year inscription. A horizontal dividing line separates the upper two lines from the lower legend. At the base of the field, the Hijri accession year ١٢٧٧ (1277 AH) is inscribed, with the regnal year number appearing above, denoting the year of reign. The whole design is contained within a raised beaded border consistent with the obverse. |
