| Obverse description | Central field features the ornate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Abdul Aziz, rendered in the Ottoman imperial style with characteristic looped and intertwined strokes rising vertically from the base. To the right of the tughra, a stylized floral sprig — likely a rose bud with leaves — is depicted in raised relief, a decorative motif common to Egyptian Ottoman coinage of this period. The entire design is enclosed within a raised beaded border that runs the full circumference of the coin. |
