| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large trident (trishula), a symbol of Shiva and the royal house of Nepal, standing upright with its three prongs prominent. A circular Devanagari legend surrounds the trident, bearing the royal name and titles of King Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah. The Nepali Samvat date appears in Devanagari numerals at the base of the design. The entire design is enclosed within a fine dotted border. |
