| 背面描述 | A cithara (lyre) displayed upright in the center of the field, depicted with detailed strings and resonating body, serving as the principal emblem of Apollo and the Chalkidean League. The Greek ethnic legend of the Chalkideans is arranged around the type, divided in the field. The design is consistent with the standard reverse type employed throughout the League's bronze coinage struck at Olynthos. |

The Chalkidian League was dissolved by force in 348 BC when Philip II of Macedon besieged and destroyed Olynthos after the city sought alliance with Athens — a diplomatic move Philip treated as a direct threat. The destruction was total: the population enslaved, the city razed. Bronze civic coinage ceased abruptly, making the terminal date on this issue a function of military annihilation rather than monetary reform.
