| Obverse description | Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Justin I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial tradition. The portrait occupies the central field of the flan, with the emperor depicted in three-quarter view. A Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading DN IVSTINVS PP AVG, identifying the ruler as Our Lord Justin, Perpetual Augustus. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and bold, slightly crude relief typical of early Byzantine hammered coinage from the Constantinople mint. |

| Reverse description | Large Greek numeral K (kappa) occupying the central field, serving as the denomination mark denoting 20 nummi. To the right of the K, the officina letter B (indicating the second workshop of the Constantinople mint) is clearly visible. The field is otherwise plain with no stars, consistent with the variety described. A linear border frames the design on the irregular bronze flan, with traces of a mint signature in the exergue partially legible. |
