Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Anastasius I facing right, rendered in the late antique Byzantine imperial style. The diadem is adorned with pendilia visible at the neck, and the cuirass shows stylized military drapery falling across the chest and shoulder. The effigy is depicted with characteristic Byzantine frontality softened by the three-quarter profile, conveying imperial authority. The peripheral legend encircles the bust, reading from left to right around the coin's border within a beaded rim.
