Reverse description Central field occupied by a large K (Greek numeral denoting 20 nummi), serving as the principal denomination mark. A cross appears to the left of the K, flanking mint control marks: AN above and TX below the crossbar, identifying the Antioch mint. The officina letter Γ (gamma, denoting the 3rd workshop) appears to the right of the K. The reverse layout is typical of the post-498 Byzantine bronze coinage reform introduced under Anastasius I.
