Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Anastasius I facing right, with a cross positioned above the front of the diadem. The effigy displays the emperor in imperial military attire, the cuirass rendered with visible detail consistent with late antique hammered coinage. The surrounding field is slightly irregular due to the hand-struck flan. The obverse legend runs around the bust in Latin characters.
