| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck set within a circular vignette at right, rendered in dark olive-green tones. To the left, a large circular medallion bears the Bhutanese royal emblem of two intertwined dragons surrounding a crossed-vajra motif, with a central Dharma wheel medallion rendered in red and gold on a guilloche underprint of cloud scrollwork.
