The State of Israel coat of arms — a menorah flanked by olive branches above a ribbon — appears in the upper right of the field. Along the lower rim, the trilingual legend 'ISRAEL', 'ישראל', and 'إسرائيل' is inscribed in Latin, Hebrew, and Arabic scripts respectively. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse presents a detailed depiction of the Western Wall (Kotel) in Jerusalem, with its characteristic courses of ancient ashlar masonry extending across the field in a perspective view. Figures of worshippers are rendered in low relief at the base of the wall. Along the upper rim, the trilingual legend 'JERUSALEM', 'ירושלים', and 'أورشليم' arcs in Latin, Hebrew, and Arabic scripts. At right, the denomination '20' is prominently inscribed, accompanied by 'שקלים חדשים / NEW SHEQALIM', the Hebrew year 'התשע״א', and the Gregorian year '2011'. Along the lower rim, the legend '1 OZ. FINE GOLD .9999' and its Hebrew equivalent 'אונקייה זהב טהור' attest to the coin's gold content and purity. |
