| 正面描述 | Central device depicts the Lion of Megiddo facing left, derived from an 8th-century BCE carnelian seal discovered at Megiddo and attributed to Shema, servant of King Jeroboam II. The State Emblem of Israel — a menorah flanked by olive branches — appears above the lion in the upper field. A trilingual inscription in Hebrew, Latin, and Arabic identifying the issuing state runs below the emblem along the lower portion of the field. |

Issued to mark the 50th anniversary of the Jerusalem Theatre — founded in 1973 as Israel's first purpose-built performing arts complex — this coin is part of the Bank of Israel's ongoing cultural commemorative program, which has produced gold issues tied to Israeli institutions, landmarks, and historical figures since the 1990s. The Theatre itself was built on land in the Talbiyeh neighborhood, a quarter whose pre-1948 Arab architecture still surrounds the complex.
