| 正面描述 | The central field displays the denomination numeral '20' within an inner circle, flanked by the curved legend 'YENi TÜRK LiRASi' and surmounted by a crescent and star, the traditional symbols of the Turkish Republic. Two ornate floral sprigs of stylised tulips and foliage frame the central design on either side, rising from a tied base. The mint mark appears below the denomination. The outer legend 'TÜRKIYE CUMHURiYETi' arcs around the upper periphery, with the date '2005' positioned at the lower rim. |

The Maglova Aqueduct was built under Suleiman the Magnificent in the sixteenth century, engineered by the Ottoman architect Mimar Sinan as part of the expanded water supply infrastructure feeding Constantinople. It remains one of the longest Ottoman aqueducts still standing, spanning roughly 257 meters across the Alibey valley northwest of Istanbul.
Turkey's commemorative silver program in the mid-2000s drew heavily on Ottoman architectural heritage, and this issue was struck in the same year the country formally opened EU accession negotiations — a period of deliberate cultural projection.
