备注

Rio Grande do Sul's decision to print its own emergency currency in 1931 was a direct consequence of the October 1930 revolution that brought Getúlio Vargas to power — himself a gaúcho and former state governor. With federal finances in disarray and regional commerce stalled, the state treasury issued these bônus as a stopgap, backed by state revenue rather than the Banco do Brasil.

Lithografia da Livraria do Globo was Porto Alegre's most capable commercial printer, better known for books and periodicals than currency work. The Series B designation implies a prior Series A issue, suggesting the first run was exhausted or recalled before federal normalization absorbed these instruments.
